Session: A Round Trip with FileReference (Tink)
In this session we will take a comprehensive look at the FileRference API, using both upload and download examples that include ALL the methods and properties of the FileReference object.
We will then cover a round trip utilising FileReference, the new BitemapData, new MovieClip methods and server side PHP to achieve the following:
Upload a bitmap file to the server
Download the bitmap into the Flash Player
Edit the bitmap in the Flash Player
Dynamically create a new bitmap on the server of the edited bitmap in the Flash Player
Download the new bitmap to the users Hard Drive.
Also, Fri nights “social” at the Comedy Cafe was great (from what I can remember), and the turnout was pretty good considering the major short notice, I think 12 people in all, more of those 🙂
